So I thought I would share some things about how I've tried to become more frugal and cut cost... hope its beneficial for some who are trying to do the same!
Not pictured... fels naptha and ivory bar soap
>>The first thing is laundry detergent... I got this recipe from a friend a few years ago and have been making my own laundry detergent for 2 years now and still LOVE it! I can't remember how much exactly it is but i think it was like 3-5 cents per load! Remember to look for items on sale and stock up...you will save even more!
HOMEMADE LAUNDRY DETERGENT
1/2 Cup Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda(Has to be Super Washing Soda... NOT baking soda)
1/2 Cup Borax
2 Bars Ivory Soap(finely grated)
1 Bar Fels Naptha(finely grated)
** 2 TBS per wash**
** I recently started to put all mine in a food processor(not one i use for food we eat though) and make it super fine if you do not have a food processor a cheese grater works just fine. **
Mix all together and store in airtight container
** 2 TBS per wash**
**NOTE** Do not use cheese grader or food processor for both laundry detergent making and food. The Fels Naptha leaves residue and is not safe to ingest... also I usually make mine outside away from kiddos because the dust goes EVERYWHERE :)
Funny story... I have told several people that I make my own laundry detergent and given out the recipe... the best response is "Does it actually get your clothes clean?" Answer YES PEOPLE... I prefer not to wear dirty stinky clothes... we would not use it if it didn't work!
>>The second is cloth diaper detergent... I have been cloth diapering for a few months and they have to be washed special so when I found this recipe I was pumped!
HOMEMADE CLOTH DIAPER LAUNDRY DETERGENT
1 Cup Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
1 Cup Baking Soda
1 Cup SunOXYgen
Mix all together and store in airtight container
**2-3 TBS per load**

This is not a picture of mine but they are pretty identical

>>Lastly is wooly balls
I just got these a few weeks ago and LOVE them... They are meant to use in place of dryer sheets.... they reduce static and drying time because the wool is naturally absorbent...also the more balls used keep clothes separated which also helps on drying time and static. I have 5 total and have to admit they work pretty great. They don't take all the static out but that doesn't really bother me given the fact that they last forever(or until they completely fall apart) and I will never have to buy dryer sheets again!
**NOTE** they do make noise with smaller loads but do not harm your dryer... I thought Tenley was kicking the wall or something the first time I used them!
Well that's it! Next will be cleaning product!! Please feel free to comment below if you have any questions!!

Thanks for the recipe! I just might try it!! You are so helpful! :)
