Christmas 2013 Part 1

This year was an "off year" for Ben, meaning he didn't have to work Christmas eve services. We decided to take advantage of the situation and head to Indiana and Kentucky to visit his side of the family!
Before we left we celebrated Christmas with just our little fam! Started the day off with throwing the cinnamon rolls in the oven(that I prepped the night before), then dove into the gifts! We do 4 gifts per kiddo-

1) Something to wear

2) Something to read

3) Something they want

4) Something they need

We then had some yummy whole wheat cinnamon rolls with homemade icing and played our hearts out! So blessed!

~Sunday after Church we hit the road! First stop Indiana! This is where Ben grew up. His dad and step-mom own a super cute farm house and we love spending time there.

~We spent Christmas Eve with family and relaxing, then headed off to Christmas Eve service at the Church Ben went to in High School... the girls were a mess and hungry but in all it was a great service and Ben enjoyed getting to see old friends!

~Christmas day was a big celebration. The girls got to check out the Christmas stocking goodies we got for them and spent time playing until family arrived.

We had family over and had a yummy dinner then watched the kiddos open gifts! Grandma and Grandpa spoiled the grand kids and they love the gifts they got!

A little girl crazy here... sweet baby Logan is out numbered but didn't seem to mind lol

That night we continued on with a tradition that we started with Tenley by making Jesus a birthday cake. It has been a great way for them to associate Jesus being born and celebrating it. They had so much fun helping make the cake and singing happy birthday to Jesus!

~The next day there was just enough snow to play in, so after the girls helped Grandpa feed he took them around on the sled

~Saturday it finally warmed up enough for the girls to go out and ride the pony(Snickers) and they absolutely loved loved loved it! It was so fun watching Grandpa lead them around so they could ride!

This is what happens when your turns  over!

Then of course we had to check to see if there were any eggs in the chicken coop!

The girls have had so much fun at Grandma and Grandpa's this trip.... it was great getting to see them roam and be adventurous together!

Welp! That's all for part one!
Next stop is Memaw and Papa Kenny's!!
