What's to come of 2014?

Can't believe 2013 is over... totally feel like the year has flown by! So whats to come of 2014??? Who knows! We are excited to see what God has planned for our family though. Seems like each year we have something big happen so it makes me excited to see what 2014 is going to come of.
I am not a huge "New Year Resolutions" kinda gal but do like the idea of setting goals so I guess technically I will jump on the band wagon. I set mine up in categories and will put them in my planner and on fridge so I can be reminded of them throughout the year!

  1. Me: I want to read more, focus on my personal relationship with Christ, Blog regularly and limit media time(more on that below).
  2. Fitness: I want to stay active and try to be content with the body God gave me. I have always struggled with appearance and I want to learn to be thankful of the body God blessed me with, take care of it and teach my girls the same so they don't struggle with it like I have.
  3. Nutrition: Continue to feed my family healthy and learn how to make more things from scratch. I love cooking and want my girls to learn how to cook and eat healthy.
  4. Kids: I want to get intentional with my kids. More outings and more family time. Do something fun as a family each month and have mommy or daddy dates with the girls. I have spent to much time just trying to get through the day instead of take advantage of the moment.
  5. Family/Friends: I want to get intentional with girlfriends, and call or send cards to family more. I want to get away from the small talk and truly live life with friends and family.
  6. Hubby: I want to put Ben above my kids(its so hard when they take up so much time). I want to truly know and use his spiritual gifts to bless his life and not take advantage of his servant heart. I want to work on growing our relationship spiritually.
  7. Financial: Use the money God blesses us with wisely, budget and continue to pay off debts, and give more
  8. Home: Be content with our house and know I am blessed to have it, continue to make improvements and take care of it, grow a garden and possibly chickens(I have no idea if we can living in the city but worth checking into)
  9. Entertainment: This is the biggest one as it affects the whole family... we are doing the unthinkable and removing the TV from our living room. We plan to still have "movie nights" occasionally but will store our small TV in the closet and bring it out when we want to do so. The IPad will be limited as well. Another big one for myself, I am deleting my Facebook account :( I have really struggled with decision because I love it so much and I know people love seeing my posts and pictures of the girls, I have tried to limit myself from getting on there several times but end up getting back into the habit of checking it constantly.... I feel like God has brought to light that it is not something bettering my life or my kids life. I will still have instagram so please follow me at bktaford, Ben will still have his Facebook and will be posting pictures so make sure you are friends with him on FB, also follow me on here to keep up with whats going on! (Please know we don't think these are bad things, but for us at this point in life we feel like it takes up time we could be spending together, so if the temptation isn't there then we wont have the option)
WHEW!!! I know it's a long list but I feel like its totally doable! Do you have and 2014 goals?? Please share!!
